One of the more obvious tasks completed over the summer of 2024 was to restore the hall floor.

The current floor was installed in August 2013, and was desperately in need of restoration – most of the surface finish had worn away, leaving the bare wood exposed to dirt & cleaning – washing the floor was soaking dirt into it!

It took us 6-8 months to investigate options, agree to the costs & to confirm a suitable slot with Cheshire Floor Sanding (we were limited to school holidays, and competing with schools also wanting their floors maintained during these periods!)

We made a Timelapse video of the restoration work, starting with a few photos of the 2013 restoration. The video is just under 4 minutes duration.
